NSW Hunters Contribute Over a Billion Dollars

Hunting contributed a whopping $1.4 Billion to the New South Wales economy last year, eclipsing many other primary industries.

For anyone that hunts or shoots its no surprise that as a whole we contribute a colossal amount of funds to support our

recreation annually. Much of this, however, is not declared as “official” spending to our partners.

In the latest report titled New South Wales Department of Primary Industries Performance Data & Insights report for 2019/20 highlights just how much hunting and fishing injects into the NSW economy.

Hunting supports businesses directly related to the manufacture and sale of hunting and outdoor products and services as well as specialist businesses including game bird farms and hunting tour operators. Hunting also supports fuel, accommodation and food businesses.
