The Blackbelts belt system carries your ammo, offers several handy, secure, hands-free ways to carry your rifle or shotgun, and adds significant safety when riding in the back of a ute. It’s a very clever set-up from Eagleye Hunting Gear.
We’ve been out testing the four main components of the Blackbelts system: the Commando Ammo Belt, Gun Saddle, Gun Sling and Safety Harness.
The Commando Ammo Belt, which has two removable shoulder straps, will hold up to 52 rounds of rifle ammunition or 32 shotshells. Add the Gun Saddle and you have a convenient “holster” for your rifle or shotgun, in which you can carry the firearm horizontally or vertically. With the special Gun Sling, your firearm is locked into place vertically, its weight carried across your hips rather on one shoulder, and its secure enough to use on a quad, motorcycle or anything else. The Safety Harness is specially designed for use when shooting from the back of a ute.
