You may have seen Tony Pizzata’s review for Klean Kanteen drink bottles in the current October issue of Sporting Shooter magazine and blow me down but, in the two months between now and our last visit with Evan Blake at Zen Imports, Klean Kanteen has upped the ante, doubling the time their double-wall, vacuum-insulated drink bottles keep liquids hot AND cold.
Our OLD review quoted six hours for hot and 12 hours for cold liquid storage and NOW, with a small technological change to the lid design, they will keep hot liquids hot for 12 hours and iced liquids cold for 24 hours.
With their “health-performance-utility-lifecycle” lifetime warranty, they are the winter deer hunter’s dream, when sitting on a cold, shady ridge overlooking a game trail, wallow or scrape. Or if you are out fox whistling on long, hot summer days, you can load up your Klean Kanteens through the wide mouth with ice cubes and Gatorade at home to keep you going on the walk, while you can have a larger capacity Klean Kanteen with cold hydration back ot the vehicle, so you can top up and keep going. The 20oz/592ml bottle is a sensible size for carrying and you can get them smaller or up to 64oz/1.9 litre size.
In common with all Klean Kanteen flasks, they are crafted from beautifully finished stainless steel, they come in a variety of bright and subdued colours, they are easy to clean and don’t retain or impart flavours.
