Memorable Moments 4, with Sporting Shooter's own Tony Pizzata, is out now!

DVD review: Memorable Moments 4, with Tony Pizzata

Reviewed by Marcus O’Dean

Wow! This Pizzata bloke sure gets around and this DVD, the latest of his Memorable Moments series, shows his hunting activity over the last 12 months.

In a staggering array of different outdoor locations, Tony joins friends in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, hunting all sorts of game, from foxes up to black bear. Where appropriate, the action is rapid fire, coming thick and fast. Where trophy deer are stalked, on the other hand, the stories unfold at a pace that allows the voiceover to explain how the hunt progresses.

The fox whistling segment shows stacks of stands, approaches and kills, as well as a couple of ‘escapees’ and it’s riveting from start to finish. Add to this some instructional detail for the fox whistling novice, plus a few other surprises, and I’m sure you’ll be impressed.

Tony also hunts with a bunch of people known to readers of Sporting Shooter magazine, including the Deermaster himself, Ted Mitchell Snr, Alex Juris and Tony’s son, Mick. for foxes and fallow deer. There’s even a snippet on the goats with yours truly.

In New Zealand, we attend a South Island Pig Hunting Festival, while Kiwi outfitter Brendan Matthews guides his young daughter to take a great shot on a huge black boar.

If you like pig hunting, Tony’s sojourn to Cape York with a few mates sees heaps of great pigs and also a nice scrub bull hit the deck in one of the last frontiers of the tropical Australian outback.

With each successive DVD, Tony Pizzata ups the ante in pace, professional editing and action and, to my mind, Memorable Moments 4 is the icing on the cake of all of Tony’s hunting videos over a stunning career through the decades.

I thoroughly enjoyed MM4 and recommend it to anyone who wants to view exciting, beautifully-produced hunting videos.

Memorable Moments 4 is available at most gun shops throughout Australia, or you can order your copy by sending a cheque, money order or credit card details for $47.00 (inclusive of P&P) to Outback Adventure Media, PO Box 870, Randwick, NSW, 2031.
